The Inaugural Women's Conference in taking place in Detroit this October 27-29!

Women’s March: The Women’s Convention, Oct 27-29, Detroit, MI

Our founder, Lisa Nava, and a couple of team members are interested in attending.  Our goal is for the Wagon Circle to sponsor Lisa to attend this three day convention and to assist other team leaders with some of the costs. To do this we are looking for cash contributions and also donation of miles to assist with flights.

Contributions can be made by clicking the button below (please put in the NOTE field "CONVENTION" so we know how to mark it).

If you have miles you can donate please email Liz Young at thefouryoungs@sbcglobal.net.  Our goal is to raise $1500 dollars.  This is a big goal but we are an Indivisible group with over 350 members and the information and connections made at this convention will help to inspire and motivate and prepare all of us as we continue moving forward.

We are the leaders we have been waiting for.

The Women’s Convention will bring thousands of women, femmes and our allies of all backgrounds to Detroit from October 27 - 29, 2017, for a weekend of workshops, strategy sessions, inspiring forums and intersectional movement building to continue the preparation going into the 2018 midterm elections.

Tapping into the power of women in leadership as the fundamental, grassroots force for change, the Women’s Convention will bring together first time activists and movement leaders, rising political stars that reflect our nation’s changing demographics, and thousands of women who’ve organized sister marches, huddles, rallies and resistance actions, large and small, since January 2017.

Participants will leave inspired and motivated, with new connections, skills and strategies for working towards collective liberation for women of all races, ethnicities, ages, disabilities, sexual identities, gender expressions, immigration statuses, religious faiths, and economic statuses.

The Women’s Convention is the beginning of a political groundswell, showing that the rise of the woman IS the rise of the nation.
