In the last 100 days we have supported Planned Parenthood, supported our youth, supported our LGBTQ community, planned and organized political events and trainings, marched and rallied for immigrants and women, made thousands of phone calls to our local and state representatives, brought down damaging legislation for health care, supported immigration rights and refugees and more.

When one cannot do more, the collective does.

Where one cannot think, the collective moves forward.

Where one cannot find a way, the collective guides.

Let us keep working together in this resistance! We can do this! Please check our calendar for upcoming actions and get involved!

FEBRUARY 13 6:30PM

 ENCINITAS FILL-A-BELLY COTTONWOOD CREEK PARK

Help us provide a meal for Encinitas Fill-A-Belly guests, a grassroots community volunteer program that provides weekly dinner for the homeless. Each week individuals and groups bring food from their homes to Cottonwood Creek Park to share with anyone in need. Everyone is invited to come and eat, and everyone - including children volunteers - are encouraged to serve and eat together. The idea is to share a meal and conversation with our fellow community members.

We will meet at Cottonwood Creek Park in Encinitas at 6:40pm. You will see people gathering under the gazebo. Please be there promptly to set-up and attend a brief orientation.

PLEASE BRING ENOUGH TO SERVE 20 PEOPLE.

Your kids are welcome to cook/prepare the food, serve, and eat with our guests. This event is through Encinitas Fill-A-Belly and they have protocols in place which make it a structured and safe place to serve - but you will of course be responsible for your own children.

OPTIONAL: If you have any extra blankets, sweatshirts, socks, pants, jackets, shirts, comfortable shoes, etc. please bring them to donate. They are appreciated and needed. Thank you for your generous hearts and for being part of something special.

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP TO BRING  A MEAL AND FOR MORE INFORMATION.

ACLU PEOPLE POWER - FREEDOM CITIES COLLECTIVE ACTION

UPDATE:

We are asking that the Encinitas city council hold a panel with the local sheriff's department at their next (or future) meeting to discuss how they plan to respond to immigration issues.

If we are serious about protecting our immigrant neighbors, family and friends we must keep support and pressure on our local law enforcement and municipal leaders to be vocal about their stance on how they work with ICE and hold them accountable on the ACLU's 9 "model" state and local law enforcement policies and rules.

Please click below for a list of emails for our local City Council Representatives.

Please check our calendar for upcoming events and actions. Because we are a group dedicated to continuing action we ask for a commitment to participating in a level of community outreach and activity that you feel comfortable with. There are many options to choose from. Stay active! Stay informed! Stay committed to resistance!
